Perhaps one of the biggest decisions that you are going to need to make in your life is whether you are ready for sex or not. I know this may not seem like a big decision, many teens end up doing it without a care or thought in the world.
However, the majority of teenagers go down that route live to regret their decision. On this page I want to talk to you a little bit about determining whether you are ready for sex or not.
I am going to be honest with you, the only person who knows whether they are ready for sex or not will be you. You can’t let people dictate whether you are ready for sex or not. It is your decision and your decision only. I can’t stress that enough.
If you are faced with the option of having sex for the first time then you can’t just jump into it. I know you can get caught up in a night of passion, but you will regret things at the end of the day. It is important that you discuss the decision with your friends and family.

Let them know your feelings and I am sure they will give you advice. Obviously you may want to discuss the decision with your partner but this may not always be the best option. Remember, a lot of the time they are going to be after sex, or they may not be after it at all, and their decision is going to be very biases.
Remember, you only get to have sex once in your life. The first time that you have sex is something that you are going to remember forever. You want to make sure that it is good. You don’t want to remember it as a spur of the moment decision with a random person you got drunk with, right?
I mean, that honestly is not going to be a good option by any stretch of the imagination. It is important that you think about the relationship that you want to have sex with. You may also want to think about the way that they see you. Are you in love with them? (that is almost certainly going to make it feel special, and the sex is going to be a whole lot better!).
Do they genuinely want to be with you? Do they have expectations for a long term relationship? If not, it may not be best to be with them. There is nothing worse than having sex with a person for the first time and finding out that they genuinely do not want to be with you for that much longer afterwards.
Remember, you should not just have sex because everybody else is doing it. You should have sex because it is something that you want to happen to you. I know I have said this countless times throughout this page, you should never, ever, be swayed by what somebody else says.
